Hilary and Sara met while earning their master's degrees in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences (ACCHS). They found themselves to be kindred spirits and became friends within the first few weeks of classes.
After years of study and practice together, they built a deep trust in each other's ability to effectively practice the medicine and created Heaven & Earth Integrative Chinese Medicine with the collaborative vision to create a wellness center that is committed to the care and improvement of human life in harmony with our communities and environment.

Hilary Seamans, L.Ac., is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and birth doula practicing in Berkeley, CA. Hilary received her Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Oakland's ACCHS in 2016, and became licensed with the California Acupuncture Board in 2017. She is currently continuing her studies at ACCHS for a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Hilary has been a doula since 2011, and focuses on supporting families and individuals through labor and delivery in the hospital setting.
Born and raised in Berkeley, Hilary considers herself to be incredibly fortunate to have grown up in the midst of the Bay Area's incredible holistic health community. She first witnessed acupuncture in elementary school, accompanying her mother to acupuncture and cupping appointments for a hip injury. The daughter of a plant enthusiast, Hilary also grew up with herbs and tinctures around the home, and has always been intrigued by the many relationships that humans have cultivated with plants. She is particularly enamored with the amazing depth and precedent of plant medicine in Chinese medicine, and was able to integrate herbalism into her practice since 2014 as a pharmacy technician and herbalist at Oakland's Five Flavors Herbs.
Hilary is enthusiastic about health and strongly believes that all people deserve access to integrative, compassionate, and respectful care. She considers herself a lifelong student of the practice of medicine, and is incredibly grateful to her teachers and patients for continuing to broaden her understanding of the human experience.
