Hilary & Sara created Heaven & Earth Integrative Chinese Medicine with the collaborative vision to create a wellness center that is committed to the care in harmony with our communities and environment.

Hilary & Sara bring extensive experience in internal medicine and pain care modalities including dry needling, acupuncture, and manual therapies. Heaven & Earth employs a team approach that is based on evidence and science.

Sara Mizner, L.Ac., DAOM

Sara Mizner (she/ her) is a licensed Traditional Meridian & Orthopedic Acupuncturist and Herbalist. She completed both masters & doctoral programs and clinical training in Chinese Medicine at The Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences, Oakland, CA. In addition to maintaining her private practice, she is contracted to treat professional athletes in the Bay area.

Her beliefs on healing are rooted in education, prevention and treatment that will support ongoing wellness. Sara believes that medicine has the power to support the spirit, mind and body towards individual and collective liberation. During a given treatment she may offer to include meridian and orthopedic acupuncture, herbal formulas, dietary recommendations, nutritional supplements, cupping, moxabustion and exercise suggestions to facilitate healing. She always applies an integrative approach, drawing from her own broad spectrum of knowledge and also collaborates and/ or refers to other trusted healthcare providers to provide the highest standard of care.

Dr. Hilary Seamans, L.Ac., DAOM, LEC, Dipl. O.M. (NCCAOM)

Dr. Hilary Seamans (she/her) is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and Lactation Education Councilor (LEC) practicing in Berkeley, CA. Hilary became licensed with the California Acupuncture Board in 2017 after earning her Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine (MSTCM) from Oakland’s ACCHS. In 2021, she received her Doctorate from ACCHS, and was incredibly fortunate to complete her clinical training under the supervision of Dr Anthony von der Muhll and Dr. Daniel Eng. She is also a nationally recognized Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Hilary received her lactation support education through UCSD, and has also practiced as a birth doula, specializing in supporting birthing families in the hospital setting. In 2023, she obtained certification through Myopain Seminars in Orthopedic Needling for the Pelvic Floor.

Hilary is enthusiastic about health and strongly believes that all people deserve access to integrative, compassionate, and respectful care. She considers herself a lifelong student of the practice of medicine, and is incredibly grateful to her teachers and patients for continuing to broaden her understanding of the human experience. During acupuncture treatments, Hilary draws from her extensive training to provide holistic and individualized care, utilizing acupuncture, Chinese and Western herbalism, cupping and gua sha, and diet and nutrition counselling. She offers Pelvic Floor Health Acupuncture treatments, as well as in-office or home Lactation Counselling.
